/tv/ thinks it's garbage because they read a fake leaked script that they think is real. Friday will prove the "leaks" were fake and /tv/ will get BTFO once again.

The infamous rifle in the sky scene is still there but a lot of the character building stuff got the shaft for more le scary stuff. was very hollow.

it's really funny and the tension building + scares are done well but I really don't get the theme of the film nor why is it titled Weapons. There were some cute nods to classics such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Weekend at Bernie's.

re: theme a nifty idea is that it's some school shooting allegory but I really don't understand how the witchcraft relates to that.
Also Brolin's character is weird, why does he dream of an assault rifle with the time of disappearance? I got some of the subtext of his character, seems to be an ex-marine, hard edged disciplinarian whose distant and unkind relationship towards his son resulted in the son lashing out in school and bullying.
Would his son have shot up the school if the kid wasn't bewitched first? The signs were there.
