Saving private Ryan is visually and auditorily impresive but maudlin and sentimental and depicts a fantasy normany comprising of only Americans ad erasinng the Canadian and British beaches from history, it is more a work of fiction than kellys heros which is at least humerous. I put a bridge too far at the top because it was meticulous in that every line said was recorded as having been said and most participants on both sides were alive to see it screened and gave it the thumbs up. There are many more excellent films
The single most iportant WW2 kino is the WW2 documentary the World at War narrated by Larry Olivier.
Fun fact Star wars a new hope entirely plagarised the trech run from Dam busters. Go watch it if you don;t believe me. For an old black and white film it holds up 100% when the action starts
