>>213447624>She was never designed to be on her own.I agree, and it's (again) mostly because of her upbringing and culture. Connie's life was, from the moment she was born, always structured out and planned ahead for her. She never had actual experience doing things for herself, BY herself (AKA without Bobby or Hank swooping in to save her and influence her to go on some grand adventure), so she doesn't know how to be independent ALONE. Connie NEEDS someone to work off of, she NEEDS someone to help plant ideas in her head, that's why she still lets her parents control her life even at 21 years old. She's competent when it comes to studies and various tasks, sure, but she probably wouldn't even be doing those tasks if someone didn't tell her to.
Perhaps if Connie was raised differently, she could've lived a much healthier and more autonomous life; but, unless something changes in the future, she'll continue to be a follower and a people-pleaser at heart, just like her parents.
