however, weapons has a good pace, it starts a bit slow and after 30 minutes it doesn't take its foot off the accelerator.

The villain is the kid’s wicked witch aunt (we don’t even know if she’s truly related to him, though) with cancer who uses some fucked up plant (and who the hell knows where she got her magic from - probably demons or aliens or something) to control kids and eat their lifeforce to keep her young and healthy.

It’s very much like Longlegs except she’s working for herself rather than the Devil - although again, she probably got her shit from something demonic even then.
