In his first conversation with his creator. Homeboy states that even though he is the creation, he will outlive his creator... then is immediately treated like a nothing more then a slave who must bring his master "hot tea"

He was written to be a stand in for Ridley Scott. Once you realise this all his decisions and motivations make sense.

idk. It might have little flickers of good stuff, I kind of like that it'll be exploring the fantasy of transferring a person's mind into a robotic shell.
but I've been burned far too many times by Disney to trust it, and I sympathize with Ridley's frustrations as a creator, about audiences being afraid of anything truly new.

>I sympathize with Ridley's frustrations as a creator
Why? He's never created anything. What original story did Scott film that showcases his creativity?

So you can't name an original creation by a director that you claim is creative?

There was no problem, he was programmed to purposely be a sociopath. Why? For plot of course.

NTA, but name a single truly original story. This is a rhetorical question. Every great work is built on what came before it, and the entire enterprise of human art is built on the originality of nature.
Accept it or not, Ridley brought us Alien, Bladerunner, two of the best films ever made, and has more great films than merely those to his name.
Like them or not, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant have the issue of originality as a core theme. Ridley understands you must sometimes force new ideas on the audience.
His studio and a ton of the ideas he's explored in his sci-fi are behind Raised By Wolves which is one of the most beloved and underrated shows of the last decade.

When you've created anything that approaches the caliber of his work, when you impress me with your own creativity, then I'll consider it when you say he's "unoriginal".
I respect the better man.
