I've been watching this show. It's quite good actually.
I'm still on season 1. The effects are fucking terrible, but fortunately the shoe focuses more on the romance between Clark and Lois and them solving various mysteries and conspiracies with their reporting.

Dean Cain being such a Magaboomer is a bit disappointing for me, but eh. I mean at least he didn't end up a rapist or a kiddie diddler. Like Donald Trump is

Well during the time Lois and Clark was made, in the comics the canon was that the spacecraft which carried the infant Superman to earth was actually an artificial womb, so Clark Kent/Kal El wasn't truly born until he landed in Kansas. So he has birthright citizenship.

This was a real thing, it was canon for almost 30 years.
Superman, and the whole of DC comics, was rebooted in the mid 80s and the new Superman writer, John Byrne, was dead set on specifically making Superman an American citizen.

It's a pretty natural choice. Superman's love triangle with himself and Lois is perfect for a romantic serial tv show, and in general Superman is more compelling when his character drama and relationships are more the forefront rather than pure action.

Pure action Superman is pretty boring, which is why I don't read his current comic run.
There's really no suspense. You not only know that he will win every fight, you know how he will. Super speed + strength.

For Haiti yeah I agree and they're the only ones that would even qualify anyways. They satisfy at least two criteria. They're fleeing to a neighboring country which they get a little but of a loophole with since they're an island and they were in some full blown civil war. Or still are and its gotten even worse.

As I understand its international law you have to flee to a neighboring country etc and it makes perfect sense. And that it also doesn't apply to crime etc. Have you seen the statistics on St. Louis and New Orleans? They're worse than half the worst places in Mexico. Does it make sense we could flee to Switzerland and refuse to leave and claim its because its dangerous in New Orleans? Even fleeing to another country at all in that case is preposterous. You move to Tulsa not Taihiti and then refuse to leave claiming you're entitled.
