Why do slow paced, fixed camera scenes not happen in modern movies anymore? Zoomer ADHD?

Untalented actors. If the camera is fixed it means the actor has to do the whole scene in one take. Modern movies do that shit where it cuts back and forth between closeups on each actor talking because if the actor has to act for more than 30 continuous seconds, he would fuck something up. By cutting back and forth they can splice together different takes more easily.

They do, there is a big resurgence in slow indie cinema but you only watch capeshit so you wouldn't know.

This--and it's true for non-fiction--political messages have gotten shorter and shorter because describing complex positions is impossible for late Millennial pols and the early Zoomers entering the game. Anyting beyond a 15 second slogan repeated is impossible.

Mainstream modern movies have completely abandoned the focus on character interaction, intention, and context, and are all about visuals, mood, and feeling. This is how you get hacks like Villenueve saying things like, "I don't care about dialogue." Because they can't do it. They've forgotten that filmmaking is about narrative, so they end up making movies that people watch in the background while they do other things. Characters and dialogue are unimportant, so the editing doesn't matter.

this is my fourth biggest problem with modern filmmaking after green screens instead of real locations and decorations, shitty lighting and digital instead of film
fixed stable camera with proper zoom on actors or action scenes without constant shaking or 'action' simulating movements are what made movie experience nice and good

That's a conscious social policy in general, but I wouldn't say there's much emphasis on visuals. There's a uniform adherence to the strictest reading of someone like Adolph Loos.

Zoomers and younger can't focus. They get fidgety after several seconds and need constant cuts to stimulate them or they start getting restless. They're brainrotted and it atrophied. They're designed for constant input stimulation and if they don't get it they start lashing out like slaaneshi cultists.

I thought that in Loos' conceptualisation, the film equivalent would mean that movie posters would be minimalist but the films themselves would be sumptuous and beautiful?

Zoomer editing is just doing quick keyframe zooms at a face and adding cartoony special effects and then doing the camera shake effects
And they're so uniform that AI does it for them (chink capcut)
That's it
the formula is loud = funny and lo-fi = also funny

There's also nexpo which is dramatic AI-written 5000 word overwrought essay about some true crime psychopath with random abandoned mcdonalds footage

other than that you just add zooms and screams randomly and they will watch it

the downside is that you can't make any money doing it for them since again it's so uniform that random algo produces the same results

open with 20 second highlight clip - start the video, keyframe zoom scream keyframe zoom scream keyframe zoom scream split screen keyframe zoom scream whoosh when zoom in / out keyframe zoom scream - black screen cartoony music 3 sec outro

do they just not have the right kinds of cameras and lights to make a movie look like this anymore?
it's not candy land, but it's not brown sludge either. there's detail, and it's bright enough but there's contrast. it's not obnoxious, but it pops.
could they make an image like this if they had all the time and money in the world? or have they completely lost the ability to do this?

IMO its two things
1.) film
2.) high intensity lighting
3.) ok and the colors of clothing, sets, etc have to be bold colors not faded shit

they tried it in 2017 with the love witch, which isnt quite like 60s technicolor but more like 70s, slightly muted but still bold
