my grandpa was like carlin and a hippy boomer atheist and i was with him when he was dying and it was terrifying. my grandma just was demanding they do everything to keep him alive at the hospital and he was constantly struggling. no peace. i prayed with him anyways but i think it was too late. meanwhile i've seen people go at my church and they are at peace and talk about seeing their ancestors again and meeting god.
