It seems quite clear that they've run out of good ideas and they are deliberately trying to get their show cancelled. But I'd probably do the same thing if I was in their position. At the very least, them trying to get the show pulled makes for a somewhat amusing meta-joke, even if the episodes in isolation aren't exactly going to be remembered as classics.

The episode was good for Modern South Park standards. We got focus on two minor characters (Clyde & Mackey), Cartman gets his karma, the dogs being shot was funny. Only problem is the ending

The season is going to have to cover Israel, Gaza, AIPAC, and Netanyahu at some point especially if it's just gonna be a Trump season and all of those are highly related to him. If it doesn't then Matt and Trey are even more cowardly ZOGbots than I would have thought.

The only parts of it that weren't political were:

Note that the second point is actually also political but both sides agree on it

NIgga ill try but with the subject matter of this episode along with the general vibe of this season its hard not to bring it up. It had some funny moments and some of the classic south park comedic timing is there. Ice Raiding heaven was hilarious and a decade ago they probably would have done a little more with that premise instead of just the 1 off joke.

But the whole episode just kinda falls flat. The Cartman plot feel unnecessarily tacked on and is a subject matter they seem to know nothing about but want to make fun of it for some reason. Its weird how this season is making Matt and Trey feel incredibly old and out of touch. Charlie Kirk has been doing this same shit since 2012 and they ignored it until now. But suddenly for some reason they are jumping in and doing subjects which might have been relevant back in 2016 as plots.
