horror is a genre for people who have never felt actual life-threatening terror in their lives.

I used to be like that when I was a kid so instead I'd read the plot synopsis on wikipedia. If I had actually seen any of those movies instead of imagining them in my head i'd have known they weren't really scary at all.

I used to feel that way but the vast majority of horror movies are really not that scary. they might get you for a second with a jumpscare, but they're not that bad. I'm not a fan of gory slasher horrors though, not because they're scary, but just bad energy as anon said >>213484894
