growing up in 1990s suburban new jersey was pretty much a whitopia. no crime, great schools, just riding bikes and playing all summer

we had one black in our entire school. this is what happened to him:

Ellison kept the victim at his home for most of the day and would not allow him access to his cell phone, according to Carroll. At one point, the victim was able to sneak a text message to his mother and fled to her vehicle after it arrived outside. Investigators followed up on a report from the victim and searched Ellison's home. They found packages of meth ready for distribution. After a two-day trial last November, Ellison was convicted on charges including first-degree kidnapping, second-degree possession with intent to distribute, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, and simple assault.

Most of them don't have the abstract thinking skills to play out a scenario in their mind's eye.

This makes them less empathetic to victims but it also makes them way worse at planning crimes. My alma mater had a huge crime problem because the nigs knew that there'd be new/unaware white people from safer towns would be arriving in the neighborhood each September. But they couldn't quite wrap their heads around the concept that there were cameras everywhere. Or that some broke college studio probably isn't carrying around much cash.
