I appreciate the creativity and physical props and makeup, but I need more than that in horror. It's like House of 1000 Corpses, it was edgy and fun when I was 15 but not something I could ever revisit.

It shows male nudity and avoids female nudity. The murders of female are not sexualized unlike the male murder. The movie heroine is given more agentic potential than the villain. It is impossible to masturbate to this movie unlike martyrs or salo or dario argento movies.
