There’s no canon explanation as to who or what they are (originally supposed to be the borg, in DS9 novels their a mutant group of Trills, in STO something else entirely) but they are definitely evil. I'm not even sure what their whole deal is. I mean, I get that the symbiont is supposed to retain memories of past hosts. That makes sense. I've seen everything from DS9 through the latest episode of SNW, and a few dozen random episodes of TOS and TNG. Also the first two films, I'll get through the rest of the preJJ films soon. I got the 1080p encodes of all of TOS and TNG(nearly a TB) queued up and ready to roll. Time to pop some popcorn and dive in.

Well my baiter friend, the nuTrek stuff probably costs too much to license or doesn’t fit into the block. I don’t have the exact answer but I would also argue that they play the trek series in order of what people would want to watch the most as well. TOS fans come first, but it can be skipped, TNG gets the best spot, followed by DS9 and ENT is in the rear because well even though I love it, I’d wager the majority of trek fans enjoy VOY more. A 1am SNW would be odd, and nobody wants to watch DIS. I could see LD being played on something gay like SYFY no offense, but they wouldn’t put a cartoon in the block.
