what if the end of the world were a good thing, actually? i haven't seen many kinos show the collapse of civilisation in such an optimistic way

Before 2012 the world wasn't so bad.
But now a literal nuclear wasteland would be better than the hellish reality we live in.
Billions must die would actually be an improvement, hopefully movies start reflecting that.

The whole idea for 28 Days came from Alex Garland playing Resident Evil and then Danny added his own visual flair to it. It's a really trippy movie. People often think of Weeks as the series main identity.

I rewatched it the other day, I'm not sure how I missed all the wickerman shit on the island the first time. The baby stuff felt a bit out of place in a way that made me wonder if it comes around again in the next one. The bacon they eat in the beginning, I don't remember seeing any pigs. Maybe they know about the babies being uninfected and are farming them out of captive infected for meat? There's strange fat ones around their villages that they call slow-lows or something, they don't explain them the same way as they do the alphas, maybe something about how they're farming them? Escaped breeding stock or something? The dad has a strange reaction to one of them too like he knew them, the little kid one when he's training Spike.

he said that the infected no minds, and therefore no souls, but wasn't he wrong? the infected have children and cried out in anguish when their own were killed
Spike's father was a baby killer not only because he tried to raise his son as a tough, emotional man, but also maybe because his ways were somehow opposed to child birth

Oh do they? Yeah none of that holds then. Secret cannibals is pretty played out but something about the way they pointed out that infected have uninfected kids jumped out at me, its functionally pointless because they'd get infected or eaten quickly by their uninfected parents, unless you farm infected for uninfected babies which really only makes sense for meat, as morbid as it is.

The movie toyed with the idea about what if they are actually le salvageable. So them having uninfected kids would be part of that.
I see it as being deeply an intentional or unintentional reflection of their evil progressive ideology. It's basically the same as loving the third world hordes but extending it all the way to literal cannibal zombies.

I think creative people are less heterogeneous than most, so often interpret it as unintentional: they're perceiving phenomena in real life then replicating these 'tropes' in art, but they aren't fully aware of the meaning or direction of these phenomena.

The zombies are "the enemy". People throughout history have justified killing each other by claiming that the enemy are "not real humans". The main characters (the boy and dad) have the same mentally about the infected as the medieval army men did about their enemy, we have to go out and kill them because they're a danger to us (and they're right). The doctor is the antithesis to that idea, as well as the childbirth scene, and he's also right in his own way. The movie gives you an opportunity to think about things, but it doesn't really work for people who have lost the ability to think so it filters a lot of retards like yourself.

I didn't see the movie, but I'm pretty sure medieval armies actually had diplomacy, deals, non-aggression pacts, alliances etc. It was also possible for people to spare their enemies to ransom them off or simply give mercy.

Can the infected in this movie do any of that?

Neither the doctor nor the childbirth scene work for people with a functioning brain. You do not get close to the infected (there's a hint in the name), there is ZERO reason to assume the baby isn't infected. The doctor has been alone for over 20 years, and not just alone but in a hellhole surrounded by death; and yet he's completely lucid, completely rational, barely a sign of mental illness. It is nonsense.
