The drama between the recurring characters was always a bit hit and miss. House is peak with a compelling patient-of-the-episode narrative (and how House interacts with it).

I'm still so fucking mad how effectively retconned this season finale was. Season 8 should've been a full serialized drama but they go back to procedural format after ONE prison episode and then are scared to name (((Cuddy))) the whole time. Thirteen's ongoing plot was also just left to drown. I remember thinking Adams and Park were going to be introduced for a reason, that they were building to something but they were literally just filler residents
