Season two sort of catches its stride. I feel like the trajectory of the beginning of a lot of good comedies eg Curb your Enthusiasm. First few seasons are figuring out what its identity is. The first one or two are kind of slow and strange, and very juvenile, but it's nice to skim through them to see how they find their humor and write clever stuff that isn't just shock value. Golden era is like 3-9. Things start to get less consistent by the early double digits, but it lasts a little while longer on some really strong ones. There's even one or two good ones in the shitshow of recent years, and I personally really liked the period of time when the show rebranded to be about Randy's weed farm, regardless of all the needs who cried "FLANDERIZATION" I thought it was novel and it seems like the creators actually enjoyed making it.
