Is Moomins worth watching as an adult if I've never watched it before? I always liked Snuffkin's design which has been the main factor of interest but I could imagine it doesn't hold up well without nostalgia.

I haven't watched it all, just a little bit with some buddies while we were drinking(I'm sure that vastly improved the experience) but I found it to be well made and very comfy. If I have kids I'll probably sit down and watch it with them. It's an entertaining little show

His voice is pretty good in the show fits him well, that said Comet in Moomin Land his voice is not so great.

The English verison is fine, the voices fit the characters pretty well. Just note some of the characters will have different voice actors through out the season ex Moomin Papa and Witch, but most are true through out the 76 episodes.
