You know he basically has to go through his whole life with that girl he ending up dating knowing that he did brutal things to her during Groundhog Day. Like whenever she cuddles up to watch a movie he remembers that time he raped her corpse in the abdomen, or whenever she wakes him up with breakfast in bed he remembers when he amputated her limbs and ate them in front of her.

One thing that confuses me was how he learned to play piano. Obviously he is able to form neuron connections because he maintains his memory but playing piano also requires a lot of dexterity and muscle memory. Does that carry over through each reset? Would regular muscle development also carry over? If he went to the gym for 200 Groundhog Days would he end up ripped?

Press escape.

I'm a somewhat lucid dreamer who spent way too much time playing PC games as a kid. If a dream gets too scary I can always get out of it by pressing escape in my head. It's kinda weird, but it opens some kind of menu (usually looks like the one from early doom games) and then I wake up.

(If some weird shit like groundhog day happens I'd know it is a bad dream.)

I have always wanted to watch women pee and now there would be no meaningful consequences
So of course I would abuse my powers to have the hospital run every test on every person within a half day's journey of me, watch every channel and visit every police station and coroner's office, figure out how to prevent every death within range that day all at once with the perfect series of phone calls and placing the right orders to change where people end up going, and I'd commit everything I'd need to know about the people's hidden health problems that will later kill them to memory in some sort of mental shorthand and repeat it constantly so I can write it down and re-expand it if I ever break free.
Then I'd read everything before trying to escape it.
Never give a mortal being with an appetite for life a time loop.

What if groundhog day, but the protagonist has dementia? And the twist is they weren't repeating the literal same day but they thought they were. And their perception of self was the same consistent image because they can't create a new one for each day, week, month, year, years, etc. And each day was or seemed exactly like the last because the people around them knew this and tried to create a reality that catered to them about a time or place they are familiar with

No worries, although now you say it, depending on whether the raper attempted to run then I'd likely shoot them so maybe I WOULD resort to raping the rape-ee too. I'd really have to work on my threat delivery for years so that they 100% comply with instruction. Can imagine I'd get frustrated at points and end up raping the dead raper's twitching corpse before blowing my own brains out to quickly restart the loop.

I just caught this movie on television (Apropos of nothing, I would like to mention that I live in the United States). It made me curious; are there any more movies with the 'repeating the same day' theme? I doubt any of them would be as good as Groundhog Day, but please give me some suggestions anyway. I love time travel movies and this concept is not completely dissimilar to time travel.
