Americans can never do a British accent because it's a real accent and any attempts to mimic it sound like a bad copy, whilst anyone can easily do any American one because all of theirs are just parodies of real ones; they always sound like they're doing bad copies by default.

You don't have an accent because your country has been around for less time than most European houses, you've not had the time to develop them, all you've got is a broken dialect based on an inability to actually pronounce words. Glad I could educate you, dumb amerimutt.

Not to mention it's pretty easy to fake an American accent. All you have to do is pronounce things normally.
>>213530268 >OUI MATE. BLIMEY YOU DON'T HAVE A BLOODY ACCENT BECAUSE YOUR BLOOPTY DOOPS HAVEN'T SPRUNG UP THE DILLY DALLY YET! ALL YOUS GOT IS A SILLY DRIBBLE DRABBLE CAN'T BLOODY SPIN ROUND THE DOOBY DOO!
>bri'ish actor tries to do an American accent
American: Hey, that's pretty good. You could kinda hear the accent slip in that scene when they raise their voice, but overall, it was good. >American does a bri'ish accent
Britoid: NO WRONG THAT'S A PISSTENSHIRE ACCENT, BUT THAT CHARACTER IS SUPPOSED TO BE FROM FARTSENBOUGH STUPID FUCKING AMERICANS CANT DO ANYTHING RIGHT
(Pisstenshire and Fartsenbough are a 5 minute drive away from each other and don't sound different at all)

Every place in England that's five minutes away has a different accent, their own football team and hates the other place five minutes away.
I like King Arthur's accent in Excalibur because it is accurately an American accent where he doesn't drop the r's. The original British accent! If you will.
Brits think they are doing a good job because they play it safe without using much dialect. Imagine a bong trying to do a cajun country accent like Brad Pitt doing a pikey accent. It would be embarrassing
Michael Cain doing an American accent in On Deadly Ground was pretty bad but it's Michael Cain so he gets a pass. He was the best part of that movie too.
