I remember that I liked the first half of The Incredibles a fucking lot. The colors, the emotion, the expressions, etc. It actually had a character with emotions and a story to tell. Then by the second half the colors turned bright and it became a generic capeslop. It was as if the first half had a vision and in the second half a corporate business meeting decided the what should happen next after the 45min mark.

Children's cartoons are basically a licence to print money as long as you don't try to push overt political agendas and just make them explicitly to entertain children.
Most parents are extremely lazy and view the cinema as an excellent way to entertain their children and therefore feel like good parents. My in-laws take their daughter to every age appropriate movie that comes out. They're the people who went to see Superman and Fantastic Four on the opening weekend.

Girlsurfer is hot and Reed is clearly depicted as the leader. The script is actually incredibly faithful it's just Pascal and Kirby don't fit the roles. Torch was meh and the Thing actor was perfect. Mole Man got the only laugh out of my cinema screening in his one scene
