That's the thing. I was LITERALLY thinking about this.
It ate him up and gave him tons of guilt. For him, his show was zero consequences and was just fun. He existed in his own little buble and he felt it was nothing. He could say outrageous things, push people's buttons, and whatever, he only got positive feedback. Then he met someone depressed and on the edge, and pushed her off. It broke howard. His show was never like it and he's been trying to redeem himself for like 20 years by being a "nice guy" and heroic crusader.
