Cute girl scared by Ayylmaos Edition
yes my wife was very cute in this movie
the ending is stupid but the movie itself is fun
The new Hell House dropping the found footage style seems like a bad idea that was its entire identity, now it looks like a typical slasher with a killer clown.

Are there any horror movies with kids dying, but not one kid like Quiet Place but something like slasher where they are dying one by one? I've come up with an idea for a horror movie but it involves kids around 10-12 years old and now that i wrote like 50 pages, it does feel kinda iffy to me

A lot of people figured if that class of people got stranded on an island, they'd just throw an afternoon tea party with the tea they didn't have and read imaginary newspapers until death or rescue with a stiff upper lip, but the author was like, these are the boys who try to hunt and drown their less popular classmates once they're in university and have access to rivers, these boys would go as feral as anyone, maybe moreso

Saw Weapons and thought it was pretty good. Liked it a lot more than Barbarian which I already liked. That being said, and maybe this is just because I don't generally get scared of horror movies, but it didn't seem like a particularly scary film. By which I mean, intentionally scaring. It's supernatural and off-putting sure, but like so is Lost at times. On the other hand as I was leaving the theater I heard several people talking about how "the first half was the scariest thing they'd ever seen" so maybe that's just me.

At least 3 and New Generation still kept the sort of comedy aspects of TCM2 even if they're bad. The remake and onward are just trying very hard to be grim and edgy without any of the rawness or horror from the original. The most bombastic is Close Encounters of the Third Kind, but because it's a Spielberg movie it doesn't really got into the weirder or spookier aspects of the UFO mythos.
The Fourth Kind got pretty spooky, but the weird documentary-within-a-movie framing regularly took me out of the film.
Phoenix Forgotten is a solid found footage take on UFOs
And the Vast of Night is a movie that slowly builds itself to a nice finale. If you don't like or care for the 1950s small town setting, it might however be TOO slow for you.
>>213529680Hellraiser 2 has a worse script and story, but it leans more into the Barker aesthetic. I like the first movie much better, but 2 is still great for what it is.

>>213557247>old movie with reasonable 720p-1080p quality, basically de facto public domain, everywhere, you can even watch if you're a basic youtube fag with a 180p connection on the side of mountain>4k Blu-ray release>everything else gone from copyright>the scan is shit and the correction godawful, nobody took rate into account so there's flickers and hallucinations It used happen with dvd releases too but the particular conversion problems get worse the closer the movie is to actual public domain and the money grubbing of it more obvious too

Or the Browning one The Devil-Doll from 1936 for miniature doll murders

>>213558694I'll go ahead and tell you that for some of the movies the puppets stop being presented as some evil threat and are rather on the side of the protagonist fighting some other evil thing. Puppet Master 2 is similar to the original, though.
