Floch was right. The scene where the main characters go to the Eldian Rights organization and even they genocidally hate people of Paradis (whom they've never met) convinced me that the world has fully deserved the rumbling.
And then in the finale the marleyan commander gives this huge speech about how the rumbling is the world's own hate reflected back to it, and I've thought - hey, maybe they're not all bad. Except two seconds after the Alliance saved them, the marleyans point their guns at them. Absolute ridiculous clown shit, Floch should have won.

Very tldr is that Eren knew that after just few more years humanity technology tree would be already advanced enough that titans wouldn't be a threat, he would lose Rumbling as a deterrent, and the rest of the world would come to genocide his people, so he planned to unleash Rumbling as a way to postpone their faith. He was right, because modern weaponry would turn Rumbling into mincemeat with no effort.
His brother thought better solution is to sterilize his people and let them fade away gradually.

Why do people keep missing the point that people who posses Atrack Titan stop being themselves the moment his genetic memory awakens? There are multiple examples of this throughout the series. Eren died in this moment. Whoever sent titans to kill his parents was no longer Eren, only very, very partially.

First of all, communication through time is time travel. Grisha meeting Zeke and telling him to stop Eren is time travel. Eren orchestrating every event of his own life is time travel.
Secondly, it wasn't the attack titans, it was Zeke bringing Eren into the Paths. There was never a secret attack titan ability, it was just Eren.

Eren basically became Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen the moment he touched Historia's hand during the coronation. But he has trouble keeping it together and his mental state only gets worse whenever he gets in contact with the royal bloodline. And unlike Dr. Manhattan he can alter the past, so theoretically he originally came from a different timeline where his mother didn't died, but he altered the events so that he could erase the titans from existence.
