The plot is pretty shit, but the dynamics between the two main characters is good.
Other than that, it's your typical HBO slop. Cinematic shots and good world building, and a lot of nothing and self-insert characters.

only at the very very end for me just because oft the way it was handled, but thats basically insignificant because the show didnt need an "end" dont think that was its purpose.
the no ending is much better actually, because thats more bleak, and we dont have a happy ending irl in regards to this stuff.

season 2, outside of some cringe dialogue (which season 1 is also guilty of to be fair), is just as good
