Script was similar to Welcome Back Frank which had a lot of comedic shit that people complained about like the Russian, the roommates and the singing assassin guy. And because they couldn’t do NY and have his family killed in central park they redid it similar to Mad Max with them getting run down

It borrowed a bunch from that series, but it added some really weird shit like the guy with the guitar and so on. They tried to do too goddamn much in a feature length movie, and the revenge story was always kind of weak. I love the movie for how bizarre it can be at times but the tone was all over the place, and the script was some scatterbrained nightmare.

It is if you like the Ennis version of Punisher. If you like pre-Ennis then the Lundgren version is all you're gonna get. That said I think it's awesome the all three Punisher movies are actually really good in their own ways.

Thom Jane did the Punisher's voice for that game, he actually had to audition for the role which he did out of love for the character.
