But why is the market down
It's down because -----> the movies are shit. It's not down for some mysterious nebulous reason that nobody can identify, it's down because the movies they're making are of worse quality than they were 10 years ago. So if you want to apply this scaling factor you have to accept the premise that Superman belongs to a cohort of films that is across the board worse than the cohort to which Man of Steel belonged, and thus it's logical to conclude that Superman is likely a worse film than Man of Steel
