I think the fat white trash boomer owners having public spats and drinking on the job are the problem

Hilariously the place most infamous for that is still open, even if she runs it without her convicted rapist husband

That's a Symptom of the real problem: 90% of the boomtards on that show had ZERO knowledge of the bar and restaurant business. For fucks sake, most of the bar owners on the show don't even understand things like "pouring proper amounts", workflow, and basic food prep.

Most of these people either owned the bar for decades and it was a social club or they got no questions asked business loans in the 00s that aren't given anymore.

>frantically tumbles out of the car's middle seat, elbowing someone in the face
>calmly walks toward the bar

One of the follow up episodes where the bartender stopped making a "signature cocktail" that required ordering hundreds of dollars of edible flowers for his dive bar in some Rust Belt shit hole was great. Jon was genuinely mad when he found out about it

Kek he loved pushing that on dumpster dive bars in redneck shithole areas.

Reality is that if you're running a shot and a beer bar your margins are so fucking small so why not try to make more? If you want to run a social club based on charity just do that, but what's the point of a business where you bring home almost nothing at the end of the day, even if it costs almost nothing to run? You could be running a profitable business and using your money to socialize anywhere else you wanted.

For me, it's the double wide trailer bar in Iowa.

I think Jon's team realized pretty quickly it was an obvious front for drugs so looked for reasons to bail. It's still open in 2025 despite everything so it's pretty obvious what it is
