americans dont actually give a fuck about true diversity. only shallow, superficial diversity such as physical appearance. its interesting watching films like Zulu from 1963 or whatever year it was casting actual Zulu extras and paying them well with benefits having a quite graceful depiction for the time in the film, but if it was made today it would just be a bunch of american blacks from one paticular part of the US playing the characters. come to think of it, isn't black panther basically like this? just anglo and american black actors playing a supposed pan-african utopia? havent seen it but i think its like that.
