Gunn's point on Palestine is none of our concern, and the supposed "message about immigration" falls flat if it even existed because Superman isn't an immigrant but an adopted kid raised in middle-american culture.
As for the conflict between DCU and DCEU, the fact that WarnerBros bastardized the franchise until it crashed and burned and decided not to finish the promising Snyder-cut storyline: that's on the executives not on Gunn.
I find most of the criticism on both Man of Steel and Superman 2025 falls flat, and that it's mostly resentment that's completely off-topic.
