Why is this scene in a movie from 2013 getting a surge in memes recently?

Man of Steel is one of those movies that will still cause heated debate in 2033 as if it were 2013. You can't fake that kind of cultural impact.

It was the only time Superman was ever cool and relevant in culture and now he's back to being a fucking joke and people just flock to Batman again. What a shame.

Lol, Man of Steel was either the coolest capeshit ever made of the dumbest capeshit ever made, with no inbetween.
The sincerity of Man of Steel is what causes people to still talk about it.

Gunn gave the detractors everything they ever wanted from Man of Steel (to a comical degree, knowing how terminally online Gunn is) and they still keep talking about MoS and Snyder. It's like a woman who is angry at Chad for not being there for her and settling for some beta male nice guy who is available 24/7 but keeps thinking about Chad every waking moment.

Stupid or not, people still talk about it as intensely as back then. Along with Zod's neck snapping and a bunch of other scenes I'd rather make a movie that sticks with people to such a degree even if it is controversial than give them what they want without challenging them one bit and then they just memoryhole it anyways like they've done with Gunnman.

Because people are laughing at how bad Man of Steel was again since there's a new, far superior Superman movie out now.

stop my invincible son posting has been a consistent presence here for the past 6 or 7 years. Despite what many youngfags might try to tell you barely anybody was shitposting about this scene in 2013. Back then it was all about the dildopods lifting off into the phantomzone and the product placement.
