Huh huh... cartoon Trek is cool...
Hmm hmm...yeah, yeah!
Number one, I order you to take a number two!
Hmm hmm! Hmm hmm! Plop!
>>213560496As of the end of Lower Decks, the Federation has a wormhole to parallel dimensions. Seems like plenty of possibilities there!
>>213582356Nah, parallel dimensions are slop. It's all conditional and it makes the lore feel like it's planted in loose topsoil than actually rooted in the hard facts of the Trek universe.
Basically, what I would expect of Nu Trek slop.
Now, be happy that I made a cartoon OP for you, toontroon. Maybe go have a jerk to Butthead, or are his circles not sexual enough for you?
Imagine having a Vulcan gf
>Slapping my bottom by hand seems like an inefficient and illogical way to induce pleasure from pain?
>Do you want me to stop?
>I did not say that and I request you hit me harder.
>>213568122There's still a social suicide aspect to Trek. Just look at the oldtrek geezers in this thread. In the absence of a Lower Decks fan to pick on, they turn on each other.
>>213582386So, you opposed the TOS "Mirror, Mirror" episode too, then?
>>213569173>>213569192This shit is epic! And there's only going to be more of it.
>>213582479No, I'm not opposed to Mirror, Mirror because it was a one-off.
However, as demonstrated extremely well by DS9, revisiting the mirror universe has massively diminishing returns.
But we were discussing a new Star Trek series in the classic vein, rooting it entirely in parallel dimensions is very different than doing a one-off episode or two.
>>213582386You said loose top
>>213582386>Nah, parallel dimensions are slopGuess you hate mirror universe episodes and worf in parallels then. And this makes you stupid.
>>213582386>be happy that I made a cartoon OPDoes this mean I've broken your will? Dance, my puppet, dance!
akoochemoya
I feel my teepee rising

>>213582759Based Kirok (not Kirk)
>>213582528>But we were discussing a new Star Trek series in the classic vein, rooting it entirely in parallel dimensions is very different than doing a one-off episode or two.So Deep Space Sliders, then
>>213582218 (OP)star trek sex with shran
Star Trek has had enough retcons and Kelvin timelines and bullshit.
Get back on the prime timeline. Do an exploration show with real stakes in the canon that exists instead of doing "elseworlds" nonsense.
Does nobody remember how shit like this ruined comic books for a good decade?
They should make a Swolverse animation!
>>213583319You know the art work for that goes to total shit later
>>213583338Yeah when they get CalArts students to make it the Basedverse. Still can't deny the glorious swole!
>>213583353>that word filterFucking jannies
>>213583353the initial run is great
>>213583205Not by a long shot! But I know someone who's dead inside, and a lot of anons that aren't long for this world. You really oughta loosen up; this can't be good for your heart.
Sooner or later he'll get banned again.
>>213582850>Crisis On Infinite Earths, 1985-1986You'd have to be pretty old even to remember that. What percentage of Paramount's target audience would you say is composed of such people?
>>213583446>looking forward to hypocritical bans, abuse of authority, and petty tyrannyYou're literally Control Freak from the Teen Titans. Who in the Star Trek franchise would be his counterpart? I mean, other than you.
>>213583375>newfag unaware of the word filter>also unaware that criticizing moderation policy is a bannable offenselurk moar
Who was the bigger disappointment, Jake, Wesley or Alexander.
>>213583519Wesley always Wesley
>>213582627the mirror universe gets old after a while
Parallels was fun as a one-time thing
multiverse bullshit has been done to death since the 2010s since rick & morty made it popular
>>213583499>st control freakmaybe her
>>213582605And then he said soil ahuhuhuh
>>213583519In terms of actual accomplishments, Jake.
>>213583542So you don't remember Quantum Leap? Starring the guy who played Archer in ST: Enterprise?
>>213582386>the hard facts of the Trek universeLike how there's no motivation to work, yet people somehow do it anyway, including mining for dilithium, or slutting around on Risa? Or how warp used to be a cubic scale, then somehow got retconned to going to infinity between 9 and 10? I could go on. Hard facts. Don't make me laugh.
>>213583499Your antics have become tiresome and no longer amuse me.
Lower Decks ruined Star Trek forever.
>>213583625>still seething about dilithium mininglmao
>>213583518>Bannable offenseNigger
I like to think that one of the Q was fucking with this guy so he'd never get his wife back trying to teach him a lesson about being grateful for what he has or something
>>213583695JJ already did that.
>>213583816It would indeed be a Q thing to do especially to someone fucking with temporal mechanics.
Speaking of Q ever noticed how on Voyager he was treated more like a guest with more respect than Picard or Sisko ever did?
>>213583817JJ didn't do shit. He made his own universe for his action flicks. Lezzie Dykes turned Star Trek into a self-referential nostalgia-obsessed parody and turned Garak and Bashir into faggots.
Also, the Lower Troon is ban evading again.
>>213584192I mean he says he's fucking with the space time continuum
>space time continuumthose are the exact words he uses, thats got to annoy the Q. As for THE Q he doesn't really do anything bad to them, even getting them involved in the civil war seems more like a mistake then anything malicious he even fixes things dr kelso Q fucks up in his suicide attempts
>>213584239I think his ban expired, also note the gangstalked schizo has miraculously disappeared the moment the toontroons ban was over.

Would the original Ent C design been any good?
>>213584687Parts of it look like they'd belong in a post-TNG era.
>>213584239This. Trek is impossible to take seriously anymore since they opened the floodgates to self awareness.
>>213584687there isn't anything wrong with the Ambassador class, its a nice midway between the Galaxy and the Excelsior, it just lacks the style of the Excelsior and the perfection of the Galaxy
>hey Beavis there's a nigger over here huhuhu
>HAHAHA YEAH SHOOT HIM HAHA SHOOT HIM
>BANG
>That was cool
>>213584687This works more as a contemporary of the Galaxy class rather than the predecessor
>>213584864its only 30years older, remember the galaxy was a brand new class when tng started
>>213584775Brutal but true
>>213584775>>213584909The damage to the brand is irreparable. Look at one of the future shows coming out; it's going to be a comedy set on a pleasure planet where the locals and workers are unknowingly being recorded and broadcast on Space TV.
>inb4 but Star Trek needs to evolve to survive! How much until it's unrecognizable?
>>213584949I said this before and I'll say it again: everybody wants to make a "Star Trek" show, but no one wants to make "Star Trek." They all want to take advantage of the world, the characters, the generational work of countless writers. But no one actually wants to tell Star Trek stories. They just want to use Star Trek as a vehicle for their own ideas.
>>213583695that snivelling kike alex kurtzman ruined trek forever
>>213585008When these retarded gen x/millennial writers are asked about what their favorite aspect of Star Trek is (something they never even watched) they always give some surface level answer
>the science!>the diversity!
>>213584775>turns you're character gay
>>213585177>most "jokes" amount to "haha isn't old trek so goofy sometimes" and "OMG this is just like in episode #47 of TNG...">audience shits and pisses in laughter
>>213585292>people insist that it's the best thing since [arbitrary point]>YOU'RE the one with the problem if you think it's derivative, obnoxious and vulgar
>>213583453That was a good story, man. I wasn't talking about Infinite Earths, I was more talking about how Marvel diluted its entire catalog with elseworlds shit for years and then everybody tried to copy it.
>>213585292>it's final word before cancelation was giving Star Trek a Rick and Morty multiverse of recognizable characters but WACKIER
>>213584734Has been stylized a bit but that is the genera shape it was going for.
>>213584791It'd been nice if they got more screentime instead of eternally relying on Mirandas, Oberths and the occasional Excelsior on TNG.
>>213584864Mean when you think about it that the Constitution was something like 20 years old at the time of TOS so yeah it stands reasonable to still fit in?
Were gonna be talkin about THE PENIS!!!!!.....and THE VAGINA!!! still hilarious to this day.
So do you think they will ever do a Bollywood Star Trek?
watching it now this 2 parter kinda makes me sad, its genuinely well thought out well written, directed acted. What might have been, I can see what RDM means when he said this was the point where he decided fuck it one day I'll make my own voyager with black jack and hookers.
>heh, freighter heheheh
>shut up Beavis
>>213582218 (OP)Does NyTrek have an audience?
Like, who is SNW for?
>>213585971Boomers who have gone senile. Same like Picard S3 was.
>>213585971it's not for anyone it's just slop they make to have content for their streaming platform
>>213585971>Like, who is SNW for?Bluesky users.
>>213585971It's for lowest common denominator retards but unfortunately for Paramount "Star Trek" will forever be tainted with "nerd stink" to their only real hope is appealing to the niche audience first which they've failed to do at every opportunity.
The only people they've attracted are people like the toontroon schizo who trolls this thread 24/7 and ban evades.
>>213585988>Same like Picard S3 was.But Red Letter Media said it was good.
>>213586013I suspect the intent is something like Big Bang Theory, which is to say to fake nerddom in hopes that normies might get into it. It wonโt work of course because genuine trek has always been for the nerds and their approach only draws pseuds and repels nerds, but so it goes. Just my opinion
>>213586069>because genuine trek has always been for the nerdswrong. it's for everyone. trekkies having a stigma came much later.
>>213586069Also people have "nerd fatigue" right now, as evidenced by capeshit flopping over and over again and them just continually trying
>>213586060mike is a battered house wife, he actually put himself through watching std who can say the same? thats got to cause some psychological damage, you can even see Rich trying to go easy on him as Mikes shattered mind unravels in the face of pure horror
>>213586138nah, Rich said he genuinely liked s3 and would be happy to watch it again
>>213586161he's acting as mikes emotional support obviously
>>213586098Sure thing buddy. Cope, as I believe your generation likes to put it. Maybe seethe a little too
>>213586193what is this projection? ask your grandma and she'll tell you plenty of normies watched TOS.
>>213586223No, it had massive cultural impact with certain lines and lore entering popular consciousness despite actually only being watched by twenty-five fat shut-ins until zoomers came along and ruined everything. That's why it's so special.
>>213582389She would not be into it except once every 7 years
In the meantime she might let you use her body if you're lucky but she'd be repressing all feeling the whole time
>>213586292>She would not be into it except once every 7 yearsI reject the idea of female "Pon Farr." It makes no fucking sense.
>>213586292ALL feeling you say. Interesting.
>>213586310Sometimes it's good to read.
>>213586335>I reject the idea of female "Pon Farr." It makes no fucking sense. It is canon. Why does it make no sense to you?
>>213586341>Sometimes it's good to read.If I wanna read someone faggot's headcanon I'll go on AO3
>>213586292sigh, vulcans don't only have sex every 7 years, ffs how are we still having this conversation
>>213586350it was based of elephant musk/rutt which does not happen to females in the animal kingdom. it logisically makes no sense because then the male and female pon farr would have somehow either line up exactly or they would only be able to mate with people who were on their exact same schedule which is biologically and logistically fucking retarded. it ruins the vibe they were originally going for with the Vulcan matriarchal society, they only had it in Enterprise because they wanted (more) excuses for Jolene Blalock to take her clothes off and do horny shit and it's clear they already didn't give a flying fuck about Vulcans in that show.
>>213586410>(more) excuses for Jolene Blalock to take her clothes off and do horny shitAnd there still wasn't enough.
at 0800 hours, station time, the romulan empire formally declared war against the dominion.
>>213586161To be fair, S3 was a massive improvement over S2.
I'd even say it was better than S1 and S2 of STP.
Think the reason was that it had a much lower budget (because Netflix stopped funding it), so they had to write more drama instead of retarded action scenes.
But then they fuck Saru in the end and pissed me off.
Nobody cares, but during S3, Michael Burham defies Saru's direct order and gets demoted for it. Later in the season, Captain Saru intends to lead away mission, but demoted Michael Burnham convinced him to stay and send her instead.
During the away mission, Burnham saves the universe. And the admiral decides to deprive Saru of his ship and promote Michael Burnham to Discovery's Captain.
He literally didn't do anything wrong, but he still got screwed.
>>213586388They only have sex FOR PLEASURE once every seven years
Nobody said they couldn't copulate outside of Pon Farr, they just don't have emotions during jt
>>213586788STD is what if Ensign Mary Sue was made the main character as not a joke. Seriously look the character up.
>>213586902what is this? some bullshit they made up in nutrek? Spock literally says the opposite.
that cloud girl asked him if they could fuck and he was basically like
>yeah, because you're hot as fuck
>>213586958>some bullshit they made up in nutrek? It's literally original Vulcan lore. In Roddenberrry's TMP novel, it's very clearly stated that Vulcans only go into heat every seven years. And the book makes it very clear that this is a dealbreaker for most species.
Meanwhile, NuTrek Spock is a fuckboi.
>>213587019going into heat has nothing to do with sex for pleasure which Spock was literally going to do on TOS before he found out the girl he liked supported apartheid and he lost his boner
>>213586902sure they do, no thats a stupid fanfic, the suppress and control their emotions its not like they don't have them, we see this with sarek and his wife. vulcans always have emotions they just control and suppress them to think and act in a purely logical manner so emotions don't get in the way of logical thinking. That is big misconception about them, something that numerous trek writers and of course "fans" like yourself don't get.
>>213587046The book makes it clear that Vulcans don't do "sex for pleasure". They can't get horny outside of pon Farr.
>>213587085the only thing that's clear here is that you're illiterate
>>213587120What's what the book says. It's the word of god.
>>213587233nope gene gets things wrong, not often but he does, he contradicts himself and makes mistakes especially in the later years, brain worms what are you going to do
Caring about canon is stupid. ToS contradicts itself wildly about tons of shit.
>>213587279it's not that gene got it wrong it's that that anon is literally retarded and illiterate. what he's talking about I assume is the excuse Kirk gives for why he and Spock aren't lovers, which is meta commentary directly to fans through the mouth of Kirk, who, would probably not know the intricate details of Vulcan sexuality only what he was directly involved in, which was almost being killed during a kalifee, the thing that only takes place every 7 years. so yes, by his understanding that's how it works. of course the rest of the evidence and episodes show that isn't the case.
I probably watched Dirty Harry half a dozen times with my grandpa when I was a kid. I caught some of it on TV the other day and I finally realized during the credits that the actor who plays Scorpio alsoplays Garak. Blew my tits off.
>>213583554I see a nipple
>>213587354had a similar thing watching Hellraiser. also did you know he adlibbed "Jesus Wept" because the original line was "fuck you" and he didn't wanna swear?
>>213587462good call, it works
>>213584775THANK YOU. Lower Decks always laughed AT Trekkies and trek in general and not WITH them.
Why did the Defiant use a Romulan cloaking device instead of a Klingon one? Is there a difference in cloaking technology?
>>213587687it's so cute when you think about it like
>sure I'll pretend to be a sexual sadist psychopath brought back from the dead wearing the skin of a guy I murdered and strung up on fucking fishhooks and chains but, you want me to say "fuck"? nah.
>>213587737No, the Romulans bought it from the Klingons iirc.
>>213587771no it the other way around during the brief romlulan klingon alliance in 2250 something the klingons got cloaking technology, its also the explanation for why the d7 looks like a romlulan battle cruiser, as always the klingons acquire tech from other races. Also Romulans invented everything first didn't you know that?
>>213587746what I was thinking is it makes it much more creepy, but you go ahead and think "cute" if you'd like, you are on a watch list now btw
>>213587879no im sayng that it's cute that that's where he drew the line with what he was comfortable doing. of course his adlib was better, it's now iconic.
>>213587737Because the treaty of algeron stipulates the feds will never use cloaking tech in the alpha quadrant
>>213587901ok but I'm keeping an eye on you
>>213587954wait i just realized it's even worse than I remembered there's more details. it wasn't just

Best captain coming through.
>>213583554>TFW no STACKED granny GF.
>>213584687It has won a lot of fans.
I appreciate that based Probert blended the Excelsior and Galaxy designs together, but those derpy pylons ruin it, and I'm not wild about having two nacelle grilles, with the top one glowing, while the side grilles don't. I agree with those who say it looks too advanced to be a generation behind the Galaxy. By comparison, I like the screen version much better. Though it's a much straighter blend of Connie and Galaxy. Actually makes me sad how little we see of the Ambassador class in canon, which in implies it was a failed design, while they just have the Excelsiors outlasting everyone.
We should have seen Ambassadors and the refit Excelsiors all over the Dominion War. Again, only having two Excelsior refits ever shown on screen suggests that the refit version was a failure, when they should have been 50% of all Excelsiors seen after GEN (as it hadn't been made during TNG). I also like how the flared engineering hull becomes a forerunner to the Galaxy. Also interesting how the Sovereign class was basically an even flatter and warlike version of the Excelsior.
>>213587019>In Roddenberrry's TMP novel, interestingly enough, this was not official, but Roddenberry decided to do it as a cash grab (that brilliant, drug addled, syphilitic bastard). It also has some junk about Kirk's "sex instructors," it's a great read and the story behind it is amazing
>>21358872470s Gene was an absolute maniac
like an actual crazy man
>>213584775Indeed. One reason why the Donner Superman film was so good, was he was constantly wanting verisimilitude.
Meanwhile, the sequels with Lester shoehorned some slapstick shit into it. Sadly, the fourth was cut to bits and was sabotaged by the producers.
Other than an imperfect TNG reunion giving us a better send-off than NEM, nuTrek sucks balls. They just have to inject all the gayness into it as well.
>>213585900>PLEASE GIVE OXYGEN, SAAR!
>>213586788>>213586909And many thought that early Wesley Crusher (Gene's self-insert) was unbearable.
I will never watch that STD trash. Ruined the past and future of Star Trek (yeah, supposedly non-canon now, etc).
Fuck the prequels. Leave the 23rd century alone already
>>21358874780s version wasn't much better. Early TNG was a cluster-fuck because of him and his lawyer. Gene alienated all the TOS people he brought back.
That said, his name legitimised the show. Even though it was a Paramount TV creation, and they wanted Nimoy to be the producer-showrunner first.
>>213588961Yeah in the 80s, his declining health saw a lot of people taking advantage of him.
But in the 70s he was like one hair's breadth from becoming a full on cult leader
>>213586410>it was based of elephant musk/rutt which does not happen to females in the animal kingdom.have you never heard of estrus? have you never seen a horny female cat/lion?
>>213589101I've heard DC Fontana talking about how she and Theodore Sturgeon wrote the episodes and the the concepts and themes for Amok Time and how that's what Theodore Sturgeon based Pon Farr off of when he invented it. Faggot.
>>213588620The reason for certain models not appearing is more retarded than you can imagine.
Ambassador was that the model was damaged and they never bothered to make a new one or a CGI one.
Excelsior not too sure why they didn't use that but seems they just didn't bother to make a CGI refit model and was cheaper to use the unmodified model.
Also on a bonus point the reason the Negh'var doesn't show up till much later is because it was destroyed as customs people thought it was full of drugs.
>>213588620It's the engineering section that looks bad.
The elliptical lines of the D and the B aren't in there, with the exception of the swooping rear bottom cutout from the B. Otherwise C's engineering section looks like a derpy hybrid of a bloated constitution class, it's all round.
He had it right in the first place but I guess it was just a real life modeling issue that forced the changes. In the end engineering lost almost all of the svelte feel of it's predecessor and successor especially when they mostly shot the model from top down.
>>213589162I've heard that. Shit was fucked.
Funnily enough, as you probably know, the refit additions for GEN were made so they could have the Nexus strike, and not damage the model. Only for it to be impossible to remove, so they basically had to retire the model anyway; other than when it showed up as the Lakota on DS9.
They build another Excelsior model for VOY:Flashback. Which had a slightly skinnier engineering hull and glowing nacelles for the first time. I do think they missed a trick not having glowing nacelles for the Excelsior class since Farpoint. Ent-B should have had them too, as part of the refit.
>>213589170I can't agree that the revised engineering section was bad. I'd accept the Probert design if it weren't for the pylons. The profile is fine. Though the reason for the change from Probert's original was that it was easier to build the model with the circles. That said, I do like that the Yamaguchi variant had the nacelles slung a little lower. The nacelles themselves are a little bulky. The rare appearances of the model mostly/all had small changes, as the Ent-C model was thrown together so quickly. The Ambassador seems to be the perfect 'average Starfleet ship', which is weird (and sad) that it was barely seen.
Thankfully, it's possible to fuck around with the different versions on STO.
>>213589162They actually built another Ambassador model using molds of the original; it had slight modifications to the neck, deflector dish and nacelles, which became the Zhukov in Data's Day and in stock footage as the Excalibur in Redemption.
Why they never used that again, there's no satisfying answer.
I don't care for the Pakleds. You're telling me these goobers were able to bamboozle the Romulans? There's no way.
>>213590425They are Pakled!
what is the DS9 episode tonight?
>>213590859It's not an all-timer but it'll be fun to watch and shitpost about.
>>213591167We watch over the H&I channel at 10pm EST when they do their daily Trek rotation because it's free for everyone. It's not very EU bro friendly sadly but you can just watch the episode separately and join in on the discussion later or whatever.
It is interesting watching the broadcast versions of episodes with commercials though, you get the full effect of stingers and other things that are lost on streaming.
Neex looks like he borrowed one of seven's outfits in this 'sode
>>213591235based tracksuit Neelix
>>213591235Also sweaty B'Elanna
>>213590425I like the idea that the Romulans are too cunning to predict the Pakled's next move. That it's always far too obvious and stupid for them to ever imagine that they would actually do it, then being convinced that they're the victim of a genius double bluff and over-estimating them again the next time.

>>213588271>weโll just fly the ship backwards and roll the odometer back, Starfleetโll never suspect a thing
>>213587737>Is there a difference in cloaking technology?Yes. Also, presumably, the Romulan one is more refined and harder to detect. However, that's not the (primary) reason they used one. It was more so that the Romulans could keep an eye on them using it since it was technically a violation of their treaty about using cloaks. They were supposed to have that Romulan liaison officer on board whose job it was to run the cloak, but that idea got scrapped almost immediately.

They're gods who evolves from normal lifeforms. That's it. This is on the level of Lucas planning all along that Jar Jar really WAS the Sith lord running things because hurr hurr he's the one to call on a vote on making Palpatine being a temporary dictator.
You really got to wonder the depts of the soul of a person who wants a job in pushing propaganda.
>>213594059he's not emotionless, which is what most actors playing vulcans get wrong, he's restrained
>>213594410>stupid fan theory of Trelain or however it's spelt is a QThis seems perfectly reasonable to me.
>AND is the son the Q from TNGThat's a bridge too far. Really liked that Peter David book, though, he was always the best of the EU writers imo.
>>213595652Although I will say, looking back, the whole
>he created three alternate timelines>three 'lanes' if you will>because of that we call him 'Three-Lane'>which over time becomes 'Trelane'is dumb as fuck and his editor should've said something.
>>213595652>>213595756Peter David is more of an acquired taste
big ideas guy but his take on Star Trek is... interesting
>>213582528Mirror mirror, crossover, and the enterprise mirror universe episodes where good. All the other ones Ds9 had sucked.
I dont understand why people hate the DS9 ones in particular
>>213595756>Ok so we have a villain whoโs really dirty. He traffics women and is into the smuggling trade>Weโll call him Harry Mudd! And Iโm sure TOS has had much worse villain names. At least Kojima and J.K. Rowling were never involved.
>>213596526They're just honestly not very good, far more than Mirror, Mirror they're just obviously 'Let's give the actors a treat and let them have fun doing something different' and like, great, fun for them, but they're just kind of too campy and silly. They kind of have prequelitis without actually being prequels? Every main is there, every main is important, every main is interestingly different while still reconcilable (except Kira) and the aggregate effect is that it doesn't feel real.
ENT mirror ep bypassed this by not using primes and they had the excuse of it being a starship instead of Still Terak Nor (so why the fuck are O'Brien and Sisko there etc). And not using primes meant they could go really dark with the ending, a nice change of pace (would not like that to become normal but it's really refreshing as a very occasional deviation).
>>213596608Harcourt Fenton Mudd, if you please.
>>213596655I would argue there's never been a mirror episode that wasn't campy and ultimately pointless and the DS9 ones are no different. I liked the continuing plot line of them fucking over and stealing from primes to try to fight the alliance or whatever.
>>213596758ToS was innately campy and I won't deny a certain campiness to the ENT one, sure. It's a question of degree.
>>213588271No way his tenure lasted longer than a week after getting Kirk killed. Probably got explosive diarrhea every Tuesday for the rest of his life.
>>213592581Chekov and Sulu can't come soon enough. I'm slightly annoyed by Ortegas and the other faggots
>>213596526They take the fun out of it. The Terrans are supposed to be silly and evil. DS9 collapsing the Terran empire and making humans a bunch of cucks doesnโt work in my opinion. I want to see the reverse of our characters, killing and foaming at the mouth. Smiley OโBrien and the politics of the mirror universe donโt interest me and the TOS and ENT episodes understand that. When I watch the DS9 mirror universe episodes I find myself thinking โwho gives a fuckโ.
>>213596944>The Terrans are supposed to be silly and evil.Ok and they are? Literally the only one who is not a total piece of shit is O'Brien.
>>213592581people aren't even posting blonde cutie nurse anymore like they used to. It's pretty much over for SNW on here
to clarify what I said early ITT, Mirror episodes are fine, alternate universe episodes are fine, "what if" episodes are fine
but what I was directly replying to was what a mainline Star Trek show should be based on, and I believe basing the entire thing on an alternate reality would lower the stakes and weaken the show significantly.
People like feeling invested in the canon and that things that are happening on the show matter, and aren't just going to be retconned by some retarded alternate universe or time travel smoz like Discovery kept doing.

>>213597087>Meh, not really.Yes, really. You not liking the episode doesn't magically make them not cartoonishly evil. Sorry your bullshit argument can't stand up to facts but, not my problem.
>>213597117Like, that's why you have the primes in the story. Because the Terrans are being evil to the prime characters while the Alliance is also being evil to the Terrans so you are rooting for the primes to get out of the situation and for both of the other sides to kill each other in the meantime.
>>213597117Iโm sorry your feelings got hurt. They managed to make the mirror universe boring. Nobody is gonna take them away from you.
>>213597181>Iโm sorry your feelings got hurt. The Terrans in the DS9 episode are evil dicks. That is a fact that will never change how much you cry and bleed from the ass about what a bad mirror episode it is and how much you hate it. I'm sorry sweetheart.

Honestly just bring back the shitty Klingon war plot and bring back the old captain. This is so ass. I will take a whole season of the cringiest holodeck episodes than this. How much worse does it get?
