Because there isn't a story there. Druggie befriends another druggie who drugs him with acid everyday and has his brain fried. The band that he was in kicks him out because he was dead weight and the band went off to become the biggest artist of all time which proved that dropping him was the right choice.

it's one of the greatest tragedies of all time, man doesn't want to bow to the industry and his friends sell him out, paint him as insane, then make hundreds of millions of dollars off of the story

I gained consciousness when i was 18 and went to college. I had the biggest obsession with Syd and the Pink Floyd "story". And they always hammer in the point that he had so much potential that was spilled down the drain after he got his psychosis. And I was pretty sheltered and that was basically my first exposure to drug induced psychosis and life long mental illness haha

5 years after that my brother entered a psychotic episode in a very similar way (ie it was hallucogenics induced) and tried to anhero. Funny how life works.
