Who cares about super heroes anymore?
Grow up
No one wants to spend $250 to see a middling overly long superhero movie when they could have a much nicer time somewhere else for a lot less.
>>213589017 (OP)The masses crave snyderkino
>"Superman is not a known commodity in some places," Gunn recently said by way of explanation. "He is not a big known superhero in some places like Batman is. That affects things. And it also affects things that we have a certain amount of anti-American sentiment around the world right now. It isn't really helping us."
lol
Superman? Never heard of him.
>>213589017 (OP)Gunncels forgot the parable of the tortoise and the hare.
Superman 2025 is one of the worst superhero movies of all times. James Gunn, who excels in directing overdone violence, out of place quips, undeserved melodrama and perverted sex obsession brings all his trademark traits to this rendition of Superman. This isn't a Superman movie, it's a Marvel/Guardians of Galaxy movie with Superman in the middle of it. In fact, Gunn seems to enjoy writing Justice Gang far more than he does writing Superman. The former which ran off two jokes that were repeated ad nauseam throughout the movie.
What makes Superman a compelling character is gone in Gunn's sloppy adaption. He's not particularly strong, he's not particularly wise, he's a poor leader, he's extremely narcissist and gets easily emotional. And this is supposed to be a seasoned Superman. It's almost like Gunn was projecting his own shitty flawed character on to Superman. The only missing touch would be if Lois was a minor.
The action scenes are just a complete mess of CG blob. Superman is basically a rag doll that gets thrown all over the place and nothing in this movie has weight or meaning to it, particularly in its action. There's a scene where Lois and Mr Terrific break into enemy HQ and the whole ordeal is of course settled with a very catchy music montage of all the enemies being dismantled with utter ease. The next scene is of Clark trying to keep a CGI baby from drowning in lava with his deus ex dog arriving in timely manner to save him again. This is straight out of a Marvel movie and has no place in a Superman movie.
This rendition of Lex is also his most shallow depiction. There is no nuance or intelligence to this Lex. He's not particularly shrewd and constantly spills out his plans for everyone to find out. He throws into temper tantrums just like Superman and starts to sob and cry because Superman is better than him. Where is the elegance and intelligence of Luthor? This is basically a spoiled rich kid battling another spoiled strong kid. 1/10, MCU slop.
>>213590571What about making a movie that sucks? Doesn't that affect things most of all?
>>213590891this is adjusted for inflation right?
RIGHT??
>>213589017 (OP)>flopMaybe in the land of feces and trash, oh, I mean India.
>>213589017 (OP)it will make 600-620M, it is a moderate success compared for Capeshit in 2025, better than The Justice League or the Snydercut too.
>>213591103Someone should remake that graph adjusted for inflation
>>213591177Josstice League did better despite being a pure sabotage job.
>>213589017 (OP)are you just spending all day every day seething about this movie?
>>213591282It made 660M on a 300M budget with 2 directors and lots of delays, Justice League killed the Snyderverse.

>>213592237It's nice watching marvel getting assblasted, they got cocky. 3 flops in a row, now the must feel what the DCEU felt
>>213592237Holy jesus this is why we have this many jeets spamming about this capeslop """"""flopping""""" isn't it?
>>213589017 (OP)Gunn called Superman an alien and the Right started sharting and fasting, crying and threw a shitfit on X (formerly Twitter). Now they're kneeling and sucking Dean Cain's cock for being a white nationalist.
>>213589017 (OP)Same reason every capeshit movie is gonna flop hard.
Financially Doomsday is gonna be the capeshit equivalent of Heaven's Gate.
History repeats itself. Genre memes always die eventually.
>>213589017 (OP)More boring cope from snyderjeets...
>>213592237>yeah we might of flopped but we're not flopping as hard as our competition so we secretly won!Capeshit is dead. You faggots are desperately propping up corpses.
>>213592415>Superman an alienClark is an alien. What the fuck are you talking about?
>>213594407Manufactured drama. It's all the left has left since nobody from center on takes them seriously in any way.
>>213590571It was pretty brave of Gunn to pick small superhero to start his new universe.
>>213594462this tweet gonna be fire in the WB board meetings
>>213594462Love how this makes Snydershills seethe.
>>213594998Superman may be well known but not when it comes to box office. Fact no Superman movie has ever made a billion is proof of that. I blame Donner movies for making Superman some Jesus like symbol. Superman’s popularity went on the decline ever since that movie. By the late 80s Superman was over and WB moved on to Batman and it’s been Batman ever since
>>213589017 (OP)>>213589405>>213590571>>213591177>>213591326Superman movies are always underperforming. He’s supposed to be the numbero uno superhero, yet not a single one of his movies has earned a billion dollars. Even Fast & Furious and Jurassic World movies earn more. Same with Batman. Fast & Furious, Jurassic World, and even a few Disney live-action remakes like The Lion Kang have earned more than most Batman movies
>>213596696Because they’ve made him boring by making him some “symbol.” He’s just portrayed as this stoic charisma void character. Gunn’s Superman injected some much needed personality into him why it’s been so well received in the US. But it’s going to take a while for people to warm up to Superman again after being bored by him for decades.
