There are two types of movie enjoyers. Empirical and conditional. Which are you?

Empirical movie enjoyers can enjoy a movie, genuinely, even if they’ve seen it hundreds of times, or were spoiled by others beforehand, or they read the book it’s based on beforehand. They like the narrative, and the execution, inherently or sincerely. They treat it like art first and foremost.

Conditional movie enjoyers can only watch something if they haven’t seen it before, to the point where they can’t watch a movie twice, or they’ll hate a movie suddenly if it’s been spoilered for them. They aren’t guaranteed to like the movie if it messes with their experience. They treat it like a ride first and foremost.

If you aren’t an obsessive autismo who can watch the same movie again and again and again you aren’t welcome at my house

empirical out of these types.
i can usually enjoy a "shit" movie and see the things people dont notice or optimistically like looking at in the subtle positive way even if it appeared bad. but i wont go out of my way to watch them, like horrorslop or bmovie stuff just for memes. thinking RLM that have a wheel of slop they make a game out of. theyd be the conditional type

a better way to put this i guess is i can use my imagination to interpret my own thoughts about it rather than just taking whatever the artist wanted to say. death of the artist type deal.

I'd prefer to watch things I've not seen because my watchlist is massive, but I don't care about spoilers and as you say like the narrative, and the execution, inherently or sincerely". What does that make me?

Watching the same movie multiple times is fine if there's at least like a year between it, otherwise you are just autistic. If a movie can be 'spoiled' it's most likely a shit movie anyway
