No it really is because they're cheaper. There's a million bong theater kids who will work for absolute peanuts if it means getting their foot in the door in Hollywood because if you can make a name for yourself there, you can actually eventually have a lucrative career. The ones who stay in bongistan spend their entire careers working in BBC slop for shit pay with no hope of advancement whatsoever. Hollywood coverty shifted to bongland about 20 years ago due to massive tax breaks, same language and far lower production costs.
Look at the Spiderman movie, it's cheaper to make a british city look like New York then it is to actually film in New York
