If they did they would figure out that the NT makes “prophecies” out of completely irrelevant passages that aren’t about any future messiah. They would also discover lies like a prophecy about the “nazerene” not existing. Episodes like Jesus sitting across a donkey and a colt at the same time (utterly bizarre on the face of it) is due to the testament writer being unable to understand the jewish repetition convention in the passage he’s trying to make a prophecy out of and so doing the most literal version of what he thinks it says (a bow legged jesus covering two animals at once).

But that’s weird, weren’t they jews too? Actually there’s a split in the Bible between the actual followers of the hooknosed Jesus and Paul (who never met Jesus at all) who makes up a new religion to scam the goyim.
