There's a coming generational media apocalypse that is looming and NO ONE is talking about it. All traditional media is set to be wiped away from relevancy in about 10 years time. Under 25s do not watch tv or go to the movies so the entire business model is doomed. You can scrounge money from people over 35 for a few decades, but that's about it.

Millie Bobby Brown says she doesn't have the attention span to watch movies SHE starred in. If she had more than 2 braincells, she'd be able to see that her own business model is unsustainable.

There's an endless amount of short stories, plays, novels, comics, all over the world that would work as a start. I guarantee you if you were to throw a dart board at a list of random romance and Josei manga and adapted them faithfully, they would be better than the shit netflix cranks out.

Endless amount of historical adventure novels, which by almost definition (male focused, almost all about globe-trotting and kicking ass and taking names) means they can't be adapted.

Every once in a while something interesting actually comes out and i go out and watch it once or twice a year but as far as im concerned there are literally thousands of other movies or games that i haven't seen yet and i rather watch stuff from a few years ago i missed out on than woke slop from today
I've got an 360 and can get games for it for like 5 dollars used and im having a blast playing Force Unleashed and other stuff ive never gotten around to for the first time

I teach filmmaking to kids and for the most part if it's not on Netflix then it doesn't exist to them. There's usually 1 theatrical film per year that cuts through, often based on another property (Barbie, Minecraft etc.) but besides that, they're not that interested.

If Hollywood dies and tv shows get cancelled who the hell cares? They’re stunlocked into raping old franchises for name recognition. Back to the future joked about “Jaws 19” but that ain’t a fucking joke anymore. MCU slop is way past that number. Even straight series without reboots are hitting 7-10. No shit, they inherited the worst economy ever, and it's only going to get worse. No jobs for zoomies = no money = no consuming necessarily paid stuff.
