Nazi Germany happened for two big reasons
>the internal economic affairs
>the external threat of the soviet union
Take away one of those factors (by killing Lenin) and I dont think the timeline we went down on could've been possible. I just don't see everyone in Germany being worked up into a frenzy about supposedly subhuman Russians when they would be part of a very conservative, Christian and nationalist country. Germany would've been fascist still, but it would resemble something more like Mussolini's Italy. Also, no soviet union means no great purge, no holodomor, no Afghan-Soviet war, and no communist China means no great leap forward and subsequent famine, no North Korea and Korean war, no Vietnam war, no Pol Pot or Khmer Rouge, way less instability in Latin America and Africa, probably less instability in the Middle East, etc.
It's a bit of a gamble but it seems like the best outcome to me. Worst case scenario, everything happens the same way in Europe but at least Asia is better off?
