I was immensely disappointed when I noticed, too. We all wanted the right thing to happen in the situation. Hal getting in so far as to takes a man's life? There was no going back. But he knew that already. I mean here he is manufacturing a drug that kills people every day and he's generating all of this strife and violence in the name of protecting and honoring his family who honestly doesn't care about his toil and sacrifice to the degree that he would expect them to, ultimately, because they're selfish people who don't love Walt enough. Skylar was dead to rights as soon as she offered a handjob to her husband on his birthday. Walt Jr. couldn't wait for his father to die. He kept going
>call me by my incredibly lousy sounding imaginary name!!
And it's like...no. You're a chip off the old block. Walt named you after him. You came out completely jacked up because your mother was irresponsible during your birth and you want to spite your father, your household's bread winner and sole course of income, by not taking his name? You can't wait until he's in the ground to go around being selfish and talking about some stupid name change? Are you for real?

Walt's entire family is trash save for uh...Michael Chiklis or whatever his name is. Detective big belly. Sex gifs man.

What IS a dinner plate?
It’s a tool, sure. Something we barely even think about. But dig a little deeper, think about those fond memories of setting the table for a Sunday dinner. Your mom presenting you with a fresh sandwich when you get home from school.
This little piece of ceramic is steeped in comfort and nostalgia… It’s home.
And, Vince, that’s why it’s going to be so shocking for your audience when you turn that plate… into a weapon.

Absolutely irrelevant. He stained his hands with blood by contributing to the problem. He made drugs. He distributed drugs. Hardcore drugs that get people hooked and takes apart families. If no one is manufacturing the meth, then it doesn't exist to be sold in the first place. Your mentality absolves veryone of all their actions, but in reality everything you do matters and has effects on the world around you. The strongest aspect of Breaking Bad's story is this understanding of cause and effect.

And if a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass when he hops, but sadly the world isn't like that. I'm not saying Walt is innocent or justified, but he did not 'generate' any strife or violence. He merely participated in the strife and violence that was already there. It's not like he was out there robbing people or forcing kids into working for him.

Your mentality is a self-fulfilling prophecy. There is literally a line in the show that "it's pretty dry out there" implying that there are periods where there is no meth on the streets because there is no mass manufacturing/distribution. That is how markets work. And if addicts cannot get harder drugs, they will settle for something less destructive like marijuana (again, as depicted in the show).

If no one builds the infrastructure to maintain supply lines, there is no product available on the market. If fewer people do it, there is less product on the market. If 2 manufacturers produce 100 lbs of meth per month, there is objectively more meth in existence than if only 1 manufacturer existed producing 50 lbs per month.

It's just the reality of the situation. If there is a vacuum someone will fill it. The drug addicts in the show wouldn't suddenly get clean if Walt wasn't cooking, they would find stuff or they would cause even more chaos trying to steal it or cook for themselves. Do you really think that more people overdosed thanks to Walt? He is morally responsible because he made the drugs, but realistically those people are dying either way.

They would have no choice if there were no drugs available, but no one made this claim anyway. As I said, they would settle for less destructive drugs if hard drugs weren't available, and meth is incredibly addictive/destructive.
>Do you really think that more people overdosed thanks to Walt?

Good thing that's not what the conversation is about.

Walt decided to sell and distribute to his fellow man, which enabled addictions in some and created new ones in others, shorted family savings, destroyed families and nearly got him and everyone he loves killed. Walt's decision to Break Bad is what dooms him to hell. The second made a match and approved it to be sold and reaped benefit from was the second Walt became a murdering, lying, treacherous criminal.
