>Legacy really is mediocre isnโt it? Why is that?
The game is front loaded. A good example is:
>Early potions class you talk to a fellow student and can choose to play a prank or not.
>Wow will all classes be like this?
>Later WHOLE classes were just cutscene montages, post-class you could talk to some professors to hear their backstory.
>Near the end of the game the professors appear in the final battle like some big epic moment but you've essentially not connected with any of them besides from hearing their backstory be regurgitated to you.
This is a good example of how gameplay, plot elements and moments were super contrived and bad.
The game had no real exploration, the loot was cosmetic or silly small stat boosts, the castle had barely any secrets and was too small, the countryside was boring, the combat was reptitive and most importantly: it had no fucking social elements. People want to live out there Harry Potter fantasy by choosing who they are friends with or whatever, instead the game just gave you quest lines:
>Slytherin boy was the most interesting, wanting to save his sister and went down the dark path.
>Hufflepuff girl wanted to stop poachers because her parents were poachers.
>Gryffindor girl wanted to protect her home from bad guys because she was driven out by bad guys from her previous home.
>Ravenclaw guy introduced another silly minigame and noped out the story.
So Slytherin boy was okay story line, the other two didn't have naturalistic storylines but were contrived and Ravenclaw boy got shafted.
I feel like if you didn't have a character creator and choose your wand and stuff then a lot more fans would have seen the mess for what it was, a bland open world map clearing game with cosmetic shit. And I haven't even touched on how boring and bad the plotline truly was.
