I don’t understand the transition they’re trying to make happen to make alien a splatter/gorefest. We also see the alien in full lighting frequently. It’s out of character for the series and makes it unappealing. Alien 1+2 succeeded by hiding what the alien can do, which is where the series shines so far. In romulus, not-ash says they recovered the xeno that ripley blew into space 20 years after it happened(but they've also been adrift floating around that planet in romulus). Aliens takes place like 55 years after alien, so you figure with time dilation and how long it would have taken WY to send another ship to lv-69420(where the crashed engineer ship and alien eggs were), its probably in that area. No idea on when lv-69420 got turned into a terraforming station, which is when aliens takes place.
