They can send their scary letters and try to call you all they want but it won’t hold up in court which is why they try to scare you into signing something or to pay them money.
In my country there was a huge problem with people being sent letters from private lawyer firms over piracy via popcorntime but it turned out you could just throw the letters in the garbage because there aren’t any laws that care about piracy as long as you don’t run the pirate site itself.
It made lots of parents shit themselves and yell at their kids tho.
I think you could send a gen xer any type of legal document and they would freak out and sign it or pay whatever you wanted because “fuck that” isn’t in their vocabulary.
