The re-edit was done for Finding Nemo's original theatrical run and at that time, John Lasseter was building up his brand as the face of Pixar and the modern day Walt Disney, so the boobs had to be scrubbed away to maintain a squeaky clean reputation as a wholesome manchild that loved toy collecting, Ghibli movies and Hawaiian shirts.
