The entire story was doomed to be shit when they showed this. There are plenty of lone old people who'd be willing to get their brain transplanted into a robot. They'd be more stable and mature than kids. There's also the point where the (white) CEO is shown to be immature and uncaring about creating a new type of life. It's all going to be about how the kids are fully humans despite not being humans, because writers have no understanding of AI and equate sapience with humanity, and they'll have something about the white CEO failing to understanding the magnitude of his cyborgs.
