isolated in his jail cell he has a psychological break and fantasizes about being young and cool and desired, but his feelings of rage and inadequacy seep in.
then he gets the electric chair.
that's pretty much it really. the mystery man is just a fragment of his psyche. it's surreal but the story is fairly straightforward when you get down to it.
