Now that some time has passed, what has a greater legacy in /tv/ terms, Game of Thrones on HBO or the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings movies?
LOTR but I'm sick of Warner Brothers. I want someone else to do it.
Lord of the Rings beyond a shadow of a doubt. It made concurrent trilogies viable productions. It spawned a truly MASSIVE amount of pop culture and memes. It's also just a well executed story that doesn't run out of steam at the end (The Hobbit movies notwithstanding). Game of Thrones, yeah it was popular while it was running, but it was basically immediately forgotten about after the wet fart of the last two seasons.
Atleast Tolkien finished his series
>>213655085 (OP)LotR's legacy is the Hobbit movies and Rings of Power
GoT's legacy is House of the Dragon.
It really should not be hard for you people to figure out which one of these is worse.
>>213655085 (OP)Huh? Is the implication that HBO GoT would get better with age?? How on earth could you see that happening?
>>213655085 (OP)Tolkien has been dead for 50 years yet still releases more books than GRRM.
>>213655402>I want someone else to do it.I want to AI a whole Rankin Bass book accurate Trilogy.
>>213655402Big Zaz hasn't got a chance to adapt Tolkien yet.
>>213656364>aiDo it the right way or not at all. Get to rotoscoping faggot
>>213656315Do you know what the word legacy even means?
>>213655085 (OP)LotR is still watched and loved by people this day. GoT is already rightfully forgotten.
