We could have had some real kino with aliens running around future NYC, turning the subway tunnels into a giant nest and colonial marines being sent in en-mass to try and contain them.
Everything so far has just been comically poorly done. Everything from the editing to the alien suit has just been a disaster. The alien is not even an important part of the series and is sidelined by the new 100% cgi creatures.

Make them fast, menacing, relentless. Make the Humans capable, smart, tactical and most importantly Interesting. All of the most memorable lines, dialogue, tension, set pieces are from Aliens. Hudson, Hicks, Vasquez, Bishop Drake, Apone, fuckin' Newt, fucking Jew Burke. All more interesting, fleshed out and memorable than a single character from any of the other films besides Ripley.

No one fuckin' cares or remembers about fucking David diddling around with corpses. Every character in Prometheus acts like a moron, whether it's a scientist taking off their helmet in an alien environment or trying to pet a fucking alien snake. It's all shit. I don't know why people are hating on this. I see people bitch that the first episode had fuckall of the xenomorph in it, but... It's a fucking series. It's not a movie. There's nothing wrong with using episode 1 or even 2 on establishing backstory. But the xeno is all over in episode 2, and this one is smart. Like, actual intelligence with it, enough to fuck with it's prey for fun. It seems smarter than the xenomorph from Isolation. People are also bitching about the lack of whites in the show, but there are plenty. I don't see the issue. The city, I'd assume, wasn't even in America. None of the characters are using their race as a superpower. None of them went on any anti-white or anti-male rant. They're just people. And the show clearly has zero issue in killing off everyone nondiscriminantly.
