Based on what I've seen so far,
>Millennium Actress
>Tokyo Godfathers
>Perfect Blue
>Paprika
Do you have any other Kon kino suggestions for me? I'm not really a fan of anime, but I think his movies are pretty good

I think that's about it for films, but he did a series called Paranoia Agent you might want to check out if you're hungry for more of his style.

This is a great tribute to him too, shows how talented he was as an editor/storyboarder.

Millenium Actress is great. Anything about the passage of time and reflecting on life in old age gets to me.

What is there to cry in Millenium Actress? The artistry is superb and I like the cinematography, but I don't remember any really emotional moment.

The story follows the life of the actress, from her youth to her old age, as she chases the romance that guided her through it all. You'd be a robot not to feel some emotional impact.

Yeah, I know, and I think it's a great movie, but there is nothing to cry about. The emotions it primary instills is vague melancholy, followed by nostalgia. There are really no big emotional moments or pay-off in Millenium Actress.

Tokyo Grandfather is lesser in both goals and deeds, but I can see crying over one or two scenes in it.

The ending made me cry ngl, and is not even a sad ending or anything, I don't know why.

I got surprisingly emotional at the ending of Drop Dead Gorgeous.
I was just so damn happy for her.

I watched Boiling Point today and I teared up when the pastry apprentice pulls up his sleeve to show his cutting marks and the pastry chef cries out of compassion for him, cheap tear jerker but ever since I started HRT I am very susceptible to them
I think the last time a film made me weep was The Hunt
That was pure cinema, my God
