The main problem for me is the Disney look, for a lack of a better word. On a technical visual level, I can't much distinguish it from any other Disney-Marvel thing.
It looks floaty, plasticy, tacky and weird. The CGI is, at parts, absolutely atrocious.
They did some things really well - the early sets and actors are great, for example. But that's kinda it.
Also, a problem is just how quickly it moves to Alien action. The crews deaths are handled like the fucking subtle foreshadowing meme, just so we can get down to some Xenomorph action as quickly as possible. And said action is pretty weak.
The whole android synth cyborg whatever angle is getting bland. They have nothing interesting to say about it. Its literally just an excuse for superpowered retards fighting xenomorphs.
Props for the many practical shots of the Xenomorph though.
