Great movie. Although it's a critique to a certain genre of tourist, it spoke to me

I remember it wasnt a huge blockbuster and I thought that was the end of his career. He came back with the aviator.

Is it worth a read? Never read a Garland book but I've liked the movies he worked on.

No, not at all. The movie is better. I read The Beach and The Tesseract by Garland both in a library when I was younger and they were underwhelming and poorly written.

Extremely retarded take that
>>213669276 should not listen to. The movie is great but the book dives a lot deeper into the mind of the main character and the ending is completely different as well, definitely worth it if you enjoyed the movie.

It did have quite the affect on me as a young teen. Tilda Swinton is good as always too. Overall Alex Garland has had a great career since.

DiCaprio is badly miscast in this and it should have been Ewan McGregor as was the original intention, but when Leo straight after Titanic says he wants to do this project who's gonna say no. It was for the better that Boyle and McGregor ended up forging their own careers anyway.
